Day 561

People of the internet, the Black Horse Pub gig!

So I didn’t really do a great job with the GoPro, firstly, the batteries were shot and secondly I didn’t really want to throw off anyone with a camera right ‘out there’.

But hey, the audio turned out not half-bad!

VIDEO UPDATE: Today I played a full afternoon of music with Tonya at the Black Horse Pub.

Day 248

People of the internet, not a complete challenge, but close.

So Antonia, her roommate Hannah and her sister Hermione (managed to weasel in a Harry Potter joke) all came over to sing and make music.

Problem #1: it may have taken us a while to choose a song.

Problem #2: we may have tried to record something a bit larger in scope than anticipated.

But we tried something, and here it is…

Today I partially recorded The Circle of Life with Antonia and her friends.

Day 72

Remember last week, when Sir Elton John cancelled?

Well, he made good in Peterborough last night. Strangely, the concert still hit a slight snag, and his piano needed retuning about half-way through the set. But he came back out, and picked up right where he left off.

I was volunteering again, but had to step aside for a quick video.

Yesterday, I saw Sir Elton John at the Peterborough Memorial Center.

Day 61
People of the internet, not every challenge is completed…so….
Volunteering does come with it’s share of perks! You become involved in the community, meet new people, and sometimes, get a chance to see some great stuff.
But tonight, it was not meant to be. I was lucky enough to be drawn to volunteer at the Peterborough Memorial Center for St. John’s First Aid. But the event was cancelled just as everyone was seated. To be fair, I wasn’t there for the show, but during the event I had to snap a few photos.
No one was injured, and everyone did exit the building safely.
Today I almost saw Elton John in Peterborough.
